Cheapest Hair Transplants – How To Find Them

September 21, 2009 cheap hair transplantcheap hair transplant, cheapest hair transplant, hair transplant cost, hair transplant price, hair transplant pricing

A hair transplant is a surgical treatment that you must take very seriously. As with any surgery, it can be very invasive and it’s going to cost you time to heal from it. You see, most hair transplants are performed using the strip method. Hereby, a strip of tissue is excavated from the back of your head. This is the donor tissue that contains hair. The hairs grow from the follicles that are present in this strip of tissue. This strip is then dissected into tiny little bits of tissue called grafts. The grafts contain either 1, 2, 3 or 4 hair follicles.

Hair transplants are performed by a number of highly trained people. The treatment is also very labor intensive because the donor tissue has to be dissected into grafts. This is a chore that has not been automated yet at the time of writing. For this reason, you can’t get hair transplants done for only a few hundred dollars. This is a treatment that’s easily going to run into the thousands of dollars. Even the smallest hair transplant will cost you more than $5000. Really big hair transplants can cost up to $20,000.

How To Find The Cheapest Hair Transplants

If you are in the market for a hair transplant, keep in mind that all the various clinics you are looking into will have various price ranges. It’s all relative. If you can find a clinic that will treat your desired balding area for $15,000 but somebody else is willing to do it for $12,000, then the clinic who’ll do it for $12,000 is the cheapest! I must confess that $12,000 is still big apples by most people’s standards. But still, you can save yourself $3000 by just looking around!

But you shouldn’t only be looking for the cheapest hair transplants! There is also the matter of hair transplant quality. Don’t simply go with the cheapest clinic just because they are cheap. If the clinic that offers the same treatment for $3000 more gives you way better results, then it’s probably the best option to go with that one. Ask yourself what’s really cheaper? Is it lousy results for $12,000, or is it $15,000 for excellent results? I would personally rather go with the $15,000 option myself. I’m sure you understand.

So my advice is to visit a number of clinics so you can compare prices as well as results. Only then can you make the choice that’s best for you!
